TUBE DÉRIVE THOUGHTS

Embroidery on Fridges

Thread Art on fridges

How to embroider words?

Embroidery base fabric/mesh?

How to attach embroidery on fabric to fridge doors? Glue?

Or simply put it on and pour (zywica epoksydowa) epoxy glue/heavy varnish on it?

The conclusion was: I hated it. But I loved the experience that contained such hate(Poor Artists pg.8)

Drawing in black or even painting does not giveme the effect I want, it is too flat, it does not show the internal mental turmoil I went through as a teenager struggling with body image issues, the overwhelming shock I went through when I became a mother, realising I’m constantly needed yet my own needs remain invisible and the turmoil I expect to experience when I become menopausal and my children don’t need me anymore and I will feel discarded and lonely. I feel, I believe, I fear paint strokes and marker lines will not be able to express that

LCC Zhangyue Wang “Where presence Ends”

“This project explores moments when my sense of self becomes temporarily loosened in unfamiliar or transitional environments. In these situations, perception intensifies and everyday reality feels slightly displaced, allowing me to become more aware of my own presence. These moments often occur in spaces that are passed through rather than inhabited, such as during travel or brief encounters with unfamiliar surroundings. Through recording these experiences, the project reflects on why I repeatedly seek this state and how it allows me to reconnect with my sense of existence.”

Kat White “See My Symmetry”

An exploration into the shared plight of women battling their self-image, in a perpetually encouraging society pushing such behaviours, in whichever way these actions manifest. In a world where the aesthetics of young girls have been decided as the centre of media and the pedestal for beauty, we must reflect on and acknowledge the impact these ideologies have on young girls themselves and in turn adult women, leading to the invention and implementation of modern technology and ideas that cause harm both physically and mentally to women, continuing the cycle of the epidemic of negative self-image.
