This idea that keeps growing in my head, I’ve made multiple sketches and now I’m thinking of making a mini version of the installation, a maquette, using white lego bricks for the door frame/multiple frames, using hair for the fibreoptics(synthetic hair) and using my lace motherlamp for the tent. And just see how it looks, take some photos, see how I feel about it. Trying to convey the idea that the consequences of war are severe, traumatic, isolating, people lose families, homes, countries, sense of identity, connection with nature. And what are they left with? Grief, despair, mental health consequences that require unimaginable level of psychological help, but also the need to feel safe, taken care of, protected. They need CARE. The fibreopticscover everything but they lead to something, they lead to a goddess cave, a pregnant belly shape with breasts, the place of safety, the pink colour resembling being a foetus inside a womb, calm and safe, one can curl inside and feel protected and cut away from all the trauma and evil andjust focus on the calming colour, sound(white noise) and softness of fabrics. Are we dead? Or are we about to be born?
