So the London heat wave hit just as I was getting into the work on my Identity painting, being fully immersed in the embroidery process. Planning to spend al of Wednesday and Thursday just working on it.<\/p>\n

I suddenly get an email that the school is going to be closed all day Wednesday. The angry me immediately thought: “They’re not doing it for the kids, the teachers just want a day off, and what are parents supposed to do?!?!?!”<\/p>\n

My husband ended up having them for the first half of the day so I could do some work but the other(longer) half was on me. I decided: too bad, they will have to come to the studio and site here for 2h(without ipads) and find something to do.<\/p>\n

And not only did they find something todo, my daughter ended up making a piece inspired by what I’m working on:)) This is one of those moments when I feel maybe, just maybe, there are those moments when motherhood and being an artist can somehow coexist and maybe even inspire someone along the way?<\/p>\n
