For some reason, she thought it was profound. I don’t know. Another thought I had after their conversation was that there was this idea of children hiding behind mother skirts when they danger is approaching and I actually thought that my whole decision to study fine arts was quite a scary thing to do and I thought how mothers might like to hide behind their children and everything that “needs to be done” around the when they’re challenged to do something out of their comfort zone just like kids hide behind their mums skirts when danger is approaching. Maybe it’s time to play HIDE & ART

Another thing based on that conversation that came to me today was this: OK, so I know this is a bold statement but I just had a thought. You know how some people believe in God, they believe that God created them God will save them. That idea that believing in God is what helps people become and remain decent human beings. The way some people believe in God I believe in creativity. It is being creative that will save us. I believe that Every person needs to be creative in order to be a good person to be a true version of themselves, the person they used to be as a child. Being creative shouldn’t be just reserved for artists because they’re special. I think when we’re born, we all have creativity in us, we all draw, make, play imaginary games and later on when we go to school we’re told some of us are more creative than others. Well, I don’t believe that. I think everyone has creativity inside them and should be able to express it, nurture it, and this is what ultimately would make us happier better, more empathetic people and would make the world a better place. Creativity has the power to heal the world. It is the putting us in boxes: You’ll be a banker and you’ll be an artist, You can’t draw, you’re not good at maths.

[438,7,98,132,1
440,439,52,11
post-2362","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-conversations","category-ideas","category-inspiration","category-motherhood","category-uncategorized","tag-art-as-vocation","tag-creativity","tag-mental-health","tag-mothers
["GET
