A very successfull meeting with Matt at CSM yesterday, sorted out a short throw projection rental for the workshop as well as managed to amend the file size to work on two additional small projectors from Adam and Natasha. This will help make it possible to project from various angles around Lara , the ballerina, as well as potentially have an interesting effect of projecting onto the workshop visitors, creating additional element of interaction as well as potentially slight discomfort, which is not neccesarily a bad thing. Still worried about the hanging of my paper lamp with speaker inside and turning mechanism on the outside, from the chandelier in the middle of the room. Worried that Becca will say “it’s a big no, as there is a risk of the chandelier falling down from the weight’ which honestly I don’t think is possible the whole thing is less than 1kg. Excited about the rehearsal with Lara as well as filming on the 1st and 2nd. Another worry is whether people will actually want to join and how to encourage them without actually forcing them to participate…is me drawing on the floor a good idea so they will feel encouraged? What should the workshop description on the wall say? What should the title be so it is not about “dancers-mothers” only but also more universal, about “artists-mothers” in general? Or maybe it should be about parenting and how it is impossible in the UK for parents to both be artists due to lack of financial help for artists from the government?
